Over the past seven years, I’ve had the pleasure of creating many unique portraits for clients , each one reflecting my deep passion for my work. Every custom piece is a highly personal journey, requiring many hours of dedication. That’s why I accept only a limited number of commissions each year. For inquiries about available pieces please reach out using the contact form below.

I strive to make the commissioning process as simple and convenient as possible, keeping you updated every step of the way after reaching out.

If you’re interested in a different size or a multiple portrait, or if you’d like to discuss your project in more detail, feel free to get in touch with me using the form below. I’d love to hear from you!

1. At least 1 large head and chest or full body shot - taken close up but not cropping out ears, chest or chin etc. Full face or side on is fine. Try and get a nice close up photo that shows the whole face, ears, chin and chest. Please remember that I can only draw what I see from your photo.

2. The photo must be in good light (outdoors is best) and must be very clear and of good quality. No blurry, dark or tiny photos please.

3. I must be able to see the eyes in the photo - no black holes!

4. Don't take photos looking down on your dog - it means I can't see the chin and where the chest/neck meets the head.

You can submit as many photos as you wish.

Step 1

Each portrait takes up to two weeks depending upon the size of the drawing and whether it’s a full body, head and shoulders only or more than one figure. Coloured pencil also takes longer due to the blending and layering process. If you would like me to arrange framing that would take a further two weeks.

Step 2

Please send me digital photos of the subject or subjects. Ideally a digital camera is best but many good quality phones take very good high-resolution photos which can be used for the portrait. Several close-up images help me to build up a good picture of the subject. It’s important to take the photo in natural daylight but not bright sunlight, and at the same level as your pet. It may take several conversations or emails to choose the final image but it’s well worth it. Once the composition is finalised, I will forward the order for you to check the portrait information. I ask for a 50% deposit (non-refundable unless an unlikely event means I'm unable to do your artwork) at this point. The portrait will then begin on the agreed start date and the remaining balance is paid following step 3.

Step 3

I will send you work in progress updates via email. Once I’m happy with the completed portrait, I will photograph it and email it to you to ensure you're happy. If you would like to make any comments or suggest slight adjustments, I can incorporate them at this stage. I'll send a final photo to ensure you're completely satisfied with the portrait. Once the remaining balance has been paid, I'll sign the portrait and send it (unframed) to you via Royal Mail.

Payment can be made via Paypal or internet bank transfer. Payment plans are available, please email me to discuss further.
